Everything was going well with Jenny's pregnancy when she went to Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital for monitoring of her twin boys. "We had done monitoring before and thought we would be going home, but after 10 minutes the doctors all started rushing in and we had an emergency C-section because the boys' heart rates had dropped," recalls Jenny. As a first-time mom-to-be Jenny says she had planned for a different birth experience, but appreciated her Roper St. Francis Healthcare team. "Each person looked me in the eyes, told me their name, told me what they were doing, reassured me that everything was going to be alright, held my hand, and rubbed my head. Although I was shaking from fear, I felt very comforted and was at peace with the people taking care of me and my babies," says Jenny. The twins needed extra care and spent three weeks in the nursery. While there, Jenny says the team took excellent care of the boys and helped her start breastfeeding. "They went above and beyond from the moment we stepped into the hospital to the moment we left, and I will be forever grateful."
